Secure ID has a plant located in Lagos to carry out a substantial part of the entire card production chain. This way, it is able to enhance its value proportion to the local market. SecureID is able to offer card solutions out of its state-of-the-art card production plant using hi-tech machinery engineered to withstand the peculiarities of our tough operating environment.
The processes carried out in the plant are:
Card Implanting
This is the central process in the Smart Card Production Chain. IC modules are punched out of the tape, placed and fixed in the cavity of the card.
Plug Punching
This process is used to pre-punch the SIM-plug for GSM, UMTS, etc. The plug is not completely punched from the card but still fixed in the card by two or more bridges. A machine is used to punch the plastic cards from the laminated sheet 3-,4- or 5- fold punching layout. It also punches the plug for the SIM cards of GSM cards.
